In August I dropped off a pair of cupro trousers to be dry cleaned. These were new and had only been worn once but stained at the bottom of the legs. When I picked them up I noticed that the colour had come out of the trousers. I returned home, and picked up the matching top, and saw that there was a huge colour difference. I went back to the dry cleaners and they apologised and said they would fix it by dying the trousers back. They asked to keep the top has a colour reference. I went back a week later and was mortified to find that they had dry cleaned the trousers (again) AND the top, ruining both items but returned to them to like they had 'fixed' the problem. I was lied to. They told me they were dying the trousers, but instead washed the top to match the ruined colours. They apologised and said that they would fix it. I returned for the third time (and 3 weeks after initially dropping off the trousers) and the issue was not fixed and the colours appeared a dirty white (previously the warm cream colour - SEE PICTURES). I told them that they must compensate me for the value of the clothes (£228) of which I provided proof of receipt. They tried haggling with me..... really??? I expected the full amount as they were new...worn once as they could see from the receipt they were bought very recently. I reluctantly accept £200 after I found out it would come from the employees pay check, and agreed to return in 1 month to collect it so it could be deducted from his weekly pay check.. I do believe that it is the owner who should have paid. 1 week later I get a call from the employee telling me that will not provide me with compensation unless they get to keep the clothes. After speaking to citizens advice they said that the dry cleaners do not have that right and that the clothes are still mine even if I am compensated. The owner refused to let me keep the clothes if I wanted to be compensated. I can't even tell you how frustrated and fed up I was at this point. I started to pursue court action in small claims court and made the dry cleaners aware that this was my course of action...as I knew I would win! Shortly after the owner called me saying that they would agree to the compensation on the date originally agreed (7 weeks after initially dropping off the trousers), and that I could keep the clothes. When you make a mistake OWN IT AND TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY. The owner is a rude, stupid man and does not know how to run a business and has zero common sense. I returned recently to ask them to remove a stain from a dress. The employee said they do not have any stain remover and wont get any in for 6 months to 1 year. I don't believe that as a dry cleaner you don't have stain remover in the building. I was willing to move past this but this is petty, childish behaviour. If you do not want to serve me as a customer then say it to my face...that's why I have written this review. Conclusion: DONT BOTHER. There is a dry cleaners in Plumstead who are much friendlier and quicker! THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CLOTHES. I was in the process of going to court...you can only imagine how stressful this was for me, especially dealing with owners/employees with no common sense and stupidity.

Advertise same day dry cleaning. I visited and this service is not available. I had to find and call the number to get someone to come to the door at let me in. Also they are cash only.
